Meet Influence

Influence was founded in 2002 by Martin Parkinson and Darren Broadley.   Both had previously worked with high end enterprise resource planning systems – Martin as an experienced Project Manager, running a large consultancy team with Darren as the Senior Product Developer.

Seeing a gap in the recruitment software market for a product that could offer the same degree of configuration and personal service of the high end systems but at an affordable price for even the smallest recruitment businesses, Influence was born.

Today Influence supports many hundreds of businesses around the world, and remains at the top of the market with a great combination of high end features, ease of use, configuration and personal service.

Influence has long recognised the value of customer support and has always stressed the importance of a high calibre of support staff and developers to ensure that customers receive the answers they need and quickly.   To that end we maintain a traditional support line whereby customers can speak directly to an experienced technician or programmer, confident that their questions will be answered quickly and effectively.

Influence appreciates that its solution can play an important part in its customers’ business, so we like, wherever possible, to demonstrate the product in person and to provide training on site for all new customers (unless, of course, they request otherwise).

Martin parkinson

Martin is actively involved in the strategy and operations side of the business, along with looking at emerging technologies to enhance the way recruiters use their software.

Darren Broadley

  • D arren is the other founding member of Influence sharing the vision to provide the best technologies to the recruitment Industry. Darren leads our software design and development team, and is the brains behind the technology and reliability of Influence

Lars Sawyer

  • L ars joined Influence in 2005 as our Research and Development director. Lars and Darren work together to ensure that Influence works exactly how our customers expect and keeps Influence at the at the cutting edge of recruitment technology.

Desmond Jones

  • D es has a wealth of experience in training, teaching and software development.   Des started as a software programmer / analyst with SG Warburg & Co.  Des had a flair for face to face training and After 10 years as a developer Des moved into client software training and sales support.  Des has also trained as a teacher.   Des joined the Influence team in June 2015 as a software trainer.

Graeme Orchard

Glenn Eve

David Biayna

  • D avid joined Influence in June 2015 as a support consultant.  David has a degree in Computer Science along with 6 years experience in software support and web development. With a big interest in Martial arts, David is a Ninja at diagnosing all your Influence issues.

Daniel Jenkins

  • D aniel has a wealth of experience in recruitment and software sales.  Dan is your account manager.  He handles any new business requests from existing customers and is focused on improving the customer ‘experience’.

Andrew Popplestone

  • Adrew is part of our First line technical support team. Andrew graduated in 2008 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a calm, efficient approach to fixing your issues. Andrew is known as a bit of a keen runner and once ran around the Isle Of Wight for fun.
